Commissioning a custom piece of furniture is a great way of creating a truly unique, beautiful and functional piece that is made to your exact specifications and space. It allows you the opportunity to be directly involved in the design process, letting you express your personal style and taste, and make any changes you see fit.

How it Works
We are happy to take on commissions alongside creating pieces from our in-house collection. Crafting a bespoke piece is a collaborative process that takes time, so expect the price to be a bit higher than purchasing a piece from our in-house collection. Whether you have a fully formed idea or just a general concept, we can guide the design process to match your level of involvement.

The process begins with a brief discussion about what you're after. Reference material is helpful, but not necessary. Other helpful conversation starters include an idea of what wood tones you would like and a rough budget.

Every custom project includes digital renderings of the design, with the option to refine the details and request scaled technical drawings if needed. Due to the time, expertise, and back and forth required, design work is priced separately—but this cost is credited toward the final piece if you proceed with your order.

Once the design is finalised and signed off, a 50% deposit is paid, and the building can begin. Progress photos can be sent if you're curious, or you can wait for the final reveal if you prefer.
